1. Understanding Your Audience

As a teacher, one main goal is ensuring your students understand the material. To do this, you have to know them inside and out — their learning styles, what motivates them, and how they process information.

In copywriting, the same applies, except instead of students, your audience is the potential customer.

Copywriters need to understand who they’re writing for. This involves knowing the target audience’s demographics, desires, and pain points. The more you know about your audience, the better you can tailor your message.

You can divide them into certain levels, and on each level, you clarify their location, gender, age, SES (Social economy status), and interest.

This information is so valuable especially when you make a relevant copy for your audience.
